Tomorrow

I will be here. Soaking up some rays. Sipping on some virgin miami vices. Missing my little man a bunch, but enjoying some time alone with the Hubs.
See ya in a week!

Pregnancy Chic

I have a love/hate relationship with maternity clothes. Really more of a hate/necessity relationship. When I was first pregnant for Jack I was excited to get into maternity jeans and clothes. Who knew that stretch waistbands could be so comfy?! But by the end of my pregnancy and my seemingly long recovery the sight of maternity pants would send me into hysterics...

Granted, maternity clothes have come leaps and bounds from what they were. I know that. But it is hard to feel attractive and chic when you belly is the size of a watermelon.

So, let's not get down in the dumps because a huge pile of maternity clothes looms in your closet and you are a mere weeks away from having to wear them. Let's look at adorable ladies who look sophisticated and chic with their little baby bumps.

Amy Adams is the first pick. She is looks wonderful in this gorgeous red off the shoulder gown at her movie premiere for "Leap Year". She also rocked a similar style Caroline Herrera hunter green gown to the Golden Globes. A perfect little maternity dress that resembles nothing of a tent. Love it.

To celebrate the beauty of carrying life instead of moaning and groaning about it, let's keep our eyes peeled for attractive stylish pregnant ladies, whether in real life or a celebrity and give them a high five. I am now on the look out and will follow up with more pictures to come.

And I am off...

To Nashville.

Alone.

For a night.

For work.

I will be back tomorrow night, just in time for the big game. It will be the first time it is just Ryan and Jack overnight...should be interesting!

It is just a quick little work trip, barely 24 hours long, but I am looking forward to a little tiny break! I will actually fly on a plane without a carseat, stroller, diaper bag, squirming toddler or luggage. I will actually be able to read a book, flip through a magazine and, if I get a little crazy, drink some Starbucks. Crazy. I will actually be able to fly like 95% of the world. Amazing.

Off I go...

Dear Lenni

Dear Lenni,

You are probably wondering why we are calling you "Lenni". When your dad and I first found out that I was pregnant with you, we were checking out What To Expect.com and they said that you were the size of a lentil! Ryan(Dad) said that we had a little Lenni the Lentil...and the name just sort of stuck. You will find out that nicknames are very odd in this family.Well, you are no longer the size of a lentil, you are the size of a plum now, but your Dad and I still refer to you as "Lenni".

Well, Lenni let's ease up on Mom soon, alright? We are dancing around that second trimester line and it is time to stop with this 8pm-12am nausea stuff. Let's get that placenta in place and stop with the sick part. Your brother is very active all day and he goes to sleep around 8:30pm. Let's not make mom sick when she has LOTS to do after Jack is sleeping. Dad has been great and helping with the cleaning and the dishes while I am out sick. Maybe we can figure something out to have Dad still do the dishes and you not make me feel so tired and sick. Sound like a plan?

Since you are now a plum size you are starting make my clothes just a bit uncomfortable. It is happening a lot earlier than your brother. Jack decided to lay horizontal instead of vertical when i was carrying him, so he made lots of extra room just for you!

We love you so much already and we will get to see a sneak peak of you again this week! Jack is very excited to be a big brother as well.

See you in a few days!

Mom

There must be something in the water.

It seems like everyone is pregnant. Everyone. I have found out at least 5 people are pregnant recently, not to mention the tons of other ladies I know who are currently expecting. There must be something in the water. It is like a whole new baby boom happening again.

Well, that water is strong. Really strong.

I must have drank it.

Cause...

Jack is going be a big brother! July 25, 2010 we will be welcoming a new little member to our family. This little one came as a big surprise, but a happy one! This new little one is also making sure that I know he/she is there. I have been more sick with this one. Throw in 2 weeks of crazy holiday schedules, traveling and a cold that i can just not kick while being in my first trimester and i have barely been able to pick myself off the couch. A few more weeks and i should be starting feel more human!

So, ladies, watch out for that water....
