Book Worm

My little man is a lover of books. Lots and lots of books. He would rather be read to, flip through the pages and look at pictures than pretty much anything. He will drag his books all over the house to get us to read them to him, no matter how big or small that book may be. He has two parents who also love to read, so we are both very proud. In fact, my entire house would be filled with books from top to bottom if i would allow my hubby to decorate. (Don't worry, he has 3+ bookshelves all to himself, so i am not a mean wife)

Here is a precious picture that Ryan took on a Saturday morning. Jack was just quietly reading his books...

Love

In one week, my baby will be 1. I can not fathom how he can be so big, so fast already.

A year ago this time i was HUGE, covered in a horrific itchy rash that covered my whole body and ready to be done with the whole deal.

But it was all worth it...

Love this little guy. More than anything on earth.

The Glove part 2

We celebrated Jack's first birthday a few weeks early! We were with the whole family and could not let his first birthday go by without a party, even if it was early! We held the party at the perfect place, my Grandparent's house on the river.

I decided to just do cupcakes and no cake for the big people. I also decided to do fun cupcakes, not just the plain boring kind. They turned out pretty good for my first time using frosting tips. I also made some delicious cake bites.

See. Isn't it just the perfect party place?

Ryan did his share of the cooking, by helping with the hot dogs.

The deserts.

Jack got his own special cake. It was a banana cake with a cream cheese frosting. I was super leery of a sugary frosting, so we used apple juice concentrate. I don't know why i bothered so much, since he hates having his hands dirty and would only poke at the cake.

Here is a cute smiling picture before he freaked out because his hands were dirty and people( mom and dad) kept trying to make him eat the cake...

Present time!

Cute baby in sunglasses...also before another freak out.

Happy Birthday with Grandma and Grandpa Fedell

Why bother with cake and presents when you can walk?!?!

His favorite part of the whole party was the people, especially Zachary. He would get to walk with help with everyone and he loved it!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all!

Today is Ryan's first Father's Day.

Ryan is a wonderful, caring, amazing father, who looks out for his family and makes us his number 1 priority. I could not have asked for a better husband in the whole world, and Jack could not have gotten a better father. Ryan proved his wonderful patience today when Jack peed on him, not once but twice in a matter of minutes. Happy Father's day to you Daddy!

Happy Father's Day, my Love!

The Glove Part 1

We just returned from a 10 day vacation in Michigan that was packed full of family time. It was a crazy, busy fun time for all, but i needed a serious sleep date when i returned. Why are vacations so tiring?

Anyway, in order to go through everything, i am just going to have to break this sucker up into parts. And in order to not bore you to tears, i will post in pictures primarily. A picture is worth a thousand words, right?

One of the main reasons that we went to Michigan was to catch up with my Dad's side of the family. I had not seen my cousins in over 13+ years!!! In fact, i had never even met one of them! Since my Aunt's passing last May we decided enough was enough and got together. So, My Aunt Paula, Sarah, her husband Jason, Lindsay, her boyfriend James, Katelynn and Dakota all ventured to the northern Midwest and experienced some green. They are from Wyoming and it was quite a different scenery for them. It was so fun to reconnect and get to know each other again. We can't wait to do it again next year, and maybe even take a trip out west next time.

Here we go, in no particular order at all!

The WHOLE Andrew side family.

Hanging out at the campfire.

This lady started it all.

Nikon vs. Canon... who won? :)

Baby after face planting it on the sand.

Jack loved Dakota the most. He got all the special waves.

Jack adores his Uncle Joel. He also approved of the baseball game.

Uncle Joel did Jack's hair...

The whole gang from Wyoming.

Please

someone makes these and tell me how they turned out!!!

http://bakerella.blogspot.com/2009/06/fast-food-fun.html

I became a big fan of Bakerella from Mrs. W's blog highlights. I LOVE her site. I have attempted the cupcake pops and bites and while mine were quite ugly and not showable, they were DELICIOUS! I have given out the recipe a few times already.

SO, here is my plea. Make these and tell me about it. I am dying to try them, but i would end up eating ALL of them and i have no one who will take them...thus the ever remaining never budging baby weight problem.

You know you want to try it...

Here we go again...

We're off tomorrow for Michigan. This will mark Jack's 5th flight before 1. Does this make anyone else tired? I am probably a bit more nervous with this flight than before. Jack wants to move and he does not like sitting still. We shall see how this goes...

I have yet to blog about my NYC trip because i have been playing catch up and preparing for this trip. Maybe when i have a second or two, i will blog about BOTH trips.

We are heading to Michigan to see the family. Both our families live close to each other and i have my Aunt and cousins coming that i have not seen in oh, 13+ years... it should be fun!

We are also going to throw Jack an early birthday party, so that all his numerous grandmas and grandpas can attend. How we will fly back with those birthday party gifts has yet to be determined.

It is after midnight and we fly off around noon. I will be up in 3 or 4 hours to feed Jack, so i need to hit the sack. I am excited to see my family and head home for a little bit of a break. This is our last planned trip. Who knows when the next one will come around, but right now, i am just going to enjoy this trip and then enjoy being home. Who knows, maybe when we return we may actually be able to head to the ocean that is 20 mins from my house...maybe one day.
